THE
CSI DIFFERENCE
Visual
Shop is based upon the fact that every customer is unique. For
Example: Customers that process screws and washers have different
requirements then those processing turbine blades for jet engines.
Each Visual Shop customer has their own mix of 5 key Business
Factors that define their company.

What
is your mix of Business Factors?
- What
types of Processes do you perform and what kind of parts
do you perform them on?
- What
Markets or industries do you serve?
- Do
you have customers that have Unique Requirements?
- What
about your Management Style? Do you have unique procedures
that you have developed over time? Do you have your own way of
doing things? Do you have multiple plants?
- Does
your Location bring into play a whole new set of issues
such as; language, taxes, environmental, and work force retention?
Your
business is unique and Visual Shop is designed to adapt to your
Business.
Our
goal is to give you what you need to improve; productivity, efficiency,
customer service, and quality for your business
We
achieve these goals because of our Design Philosophy.

Our
initial goal was to develop a system that would be a true benefit
to our customers. A system that would adapt itself to each of
our customers' unique mix of business factors. Essentially it would
have to fit like a glove. The closer the software fits your business
the more efficiencies can be gained.
We
also knew that our future customers had the best ideas. They
knew the best way to run their business. So we decided that all
the customizations that we did would be made available to all of
our customers. So if Customer A developed a new report then everyone
else would get it. If Customer B developed a new feature then everyone
including Customer A would get it. We essentially pooled the ideas
of all our customers which benefited all our customers. This way
the software would continuously improve as customers added new features.
It would get better and better and better.
So we set about designing a system with the following requirements;
- It
had to be easy to customize.
- It
would have only 1 set of source code.
- Customizations
or features could be turned on or off.
- All
customizations or features would be made available to all our
customers.
- It
would be developed using corporate level tools and a corporate
level database.
- It
would be fast, reliable, and be able to handle volumes of data.
- It
would allow easy data maintenance.
- It
would eliminate double entry.
- It
would be well supported.
- It
would evolve as new technologies came about.
The
result of this was Visual Shop.
A software program designed for a specific group of industries
that is continually improving, evolving, and adding new features.
We
essentially became a software co-op.
