Here is how you use AutoPlan with Visual Shop.

During Visual Shop order entry, when you enter a new part, you pick the: proper specification, material, material condition, and other part characteristics.

Based on the information you entered, AutoPlan determines the requirements for; the specification, material, customer, and other part information entered. 

AutoPlan then checks your internal capabilities to automatically create a detailed set of NADCAP / ISO compliant process instructions for the jobs primary and secondary operations which then print out as a shop order.

AutoPlan is a knowledge based planning engine that comes with a specification database already preloaded or you can enter your own specifications. This makes for quick and easy implementation.

AutoPlan is also a rules based system that operates on many levels. It knows what steps need to be added and those that don't.

For example, you can create a rule for a customer not to do a bake even though the spec might require it. Or depending on the material and the material condition, AutoPlan will automatically add the proper cleaning step that the spec requires.
